Somewhere in the Heaven.

After five days spent in Cunda island, yesterday afternoon we came back to Istanbul. It is a small island in the northwestern Aegean sea off the coast of Ayvalık. Cunda island was once predominantly Greek, and some Greek is still spoken here. The island has a mix of Greek and Turkish cultures in its food, music and nightlife. Of course it is nice to live in such a big city like Istanbul, but sometimes we need to escape from it for a couple of days and enjoy the sea in total relax.

Dopo cinque giorni trascorsi in isola di Cunda, ieri pomeriggio siamo tornati a Istanbul. Questa piccola isola si trova nel nord-occidentale del mare Egeo al largo della costa di Ayvalık. Isola di Cunda era una volta prevalentemente greca, e un po di greco e ancora parlato qui. L'isola ha un mix di cultura greca e turca nel suo cibo, musica e vita notturna. Certo che e bello di vivere in una citta grande come Istanbul, ma a volte abbiamo bisogno di fuggire da essa per un paio di giorni e godersi il mare in totale relax.


Cunda adasında beş gün geçirdikten sonra, dün oğlen Istanbula döndük. Cunda adası Ege denizinin kuzeybatısında Ayvalığın yanında ufak bir ada. Cunda adası Yunan döneminden kalma ve adada hala yunanca konuşanlar var. Türk yunan ortak müzik ve yemek kültürü ile gece hayatı adaya hakim. Tabiki Istanbul gibi büyük bir şehirde yaşamak çok güzel, ama bazen bir kaç günlüğüne şehirden kaçmak ve denizin tadını çıkartıp rahatlamak gerek.
